Microsoft Office 2000 (version 9.0) is a Microsoft Office suite distributed by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows. This suite is the successor and predecessor of Microsoft Office 97. Office 2000, the third and last edition of Office 2000 to integrate Office Assistants was released. It was released on 7 June 1999. Microsoft Office 2000 released on June 7, 1999. Office 2000 received 3 Service Packs. The “Mainstream” support ended June 30, 2004, and the extended support phase officially ended July 14, 2009. Office 2000 Developer contains the most complete Office 2000 suite.


Microsoft Office 2000 System Prerequisites

Microsoft Office 2000 Professional contains Word, Excel and Outlook. PowerPoint, Access. Access. Publisher. Small Business Tools. These are the Office 2000 requirements

  • Computer/processor computer with Pentium 75MHz and higher processor
  • Memory 32MB (for Windows NT 4.0 (or later)) or 16MB (for Windows 95/98 or 98) for OS, 4MB to each application running simultaneously, 8MB RAM Outlook or Access.
  • Hard disk You’ll need 217MB to create the first CD. The second CD will contain Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. For the second CD, Publisher and Small Business Tools, you will need 174MB.
  • Drive: C-ROM drive
  • Display: High-Resolution Monitors (or VGA) recommended
  • Operating system: Windows NT 4.0 needs Service Pack 3; otherwise, Windows 95 or later is sufficient.
  • Peripherals: Microsoft Mouse, Microsoft IntelliMouse, or compatible pointing device


How can I download and install Microsoft Office 2000 Professional

  5. Mount Microsoft Office 2000 Professional Disk 2 when asked for the second CD.
  6. You now have the full version of Microsoft Office 2000, without any limitations, installed on your computer.
