In the middle ages, people were amazed how their favorite poem, Beowulf, had become a popular tale around the world. Even though the beowulf myths became very widespread during the late 8th and 9th centuries, they did not enjoy the same kind of popularity that the Eddard Aaronson and other early writers have enjoyed.
